ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the tumor microenvironment in women with advanced ovarian cancer, specifically those with Stage III and Stage IV serous ovarian carcinoma. The researchers aim to create tiny models, called organoids, from ovarian cancer tissue. These organoids will help scientists understand how cancer cells interact with immune cells and the bacteria that live within tumors. By doing this, they hope to find new ways to predict how patients will respond to different treatments, leading to more personalized and effective therapies.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 to 80 with a diagnosis of serous ovarian carcinoma at Stage III or IV might be eligible. However, individuals who have a weakened immune system, have received certain treatments recently, or have other specific health conditions may not qualify. If you join the trial, you can expect to provide a tissue sample, which will be used for research to learn more about ovarian cancer. This study is currently looking for participants, and your involvement could contribute to important advancements in cancer treatment.
