Clinical Trial Corticosteroid Infiltration Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Betamethasone

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of two different ways to give corticosteroid treatment for mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome, a condition that causes pain and numbness in the hand. The researchers want to find out if an intramuscular injection (a shot in the muscle) works just as well as a local injection (a shot directly into the wrist area) for relieving symptoms. They will also look at any side effects or pain experienced at the injection site for both methods.

To participate, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome, which can be confirmed through certain tests. If you join the study, you will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups. Researchers will follow your progress and check your symptoms at several points over the next year. This study is currently recruiting participants, and those interested will need to sign an informed consent form to take part.
