ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called IMIDOC, is studying a new way to provide care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and spondylarthritis (SpA) using a mixed attention model (MAM). This approach combines traditional in-person visits with the use of a mobile app that allows patients to monitor their health at home. Through the app, patients can track their symptoms and report any issues directly to their healthcare providers, who can check this information before the next appointment. The goal is to see if this hybrid model leads to better health outcomes compared to regular face-to-face care.
To participate in this study, patients need to have a clinical diagnosis of RA or SpA and be receiving specific treatments. They should also be comfortable using a smartphone. Unfortunately, those who have difficulty using a mobile app due to conditions like blindness or dementia are not eligible. Participants can expect regular check-ins through the app, as well as in-person visits with their rheumatologist. By joining this trial, patients will help researchers understand if this new method of care can improve how we manage these chronic conditions.
