ClinConnect Summary

The RChildUV clinical trial is studying a condition called non-infectious chronic uveitis in children. Uveitis is an inflammation of part of the eye that can cause vision problems. This trial aims to better understand this rare condition, which affects a small number of children. Researchers are looking for children who were diagnosed with non-infectious chronic uveitis before they turned 16 years old. To participate, families will need to provide consent, and children with certain other medical conditions, like infectious uveitis or cancer, won't be eligible.

The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it is open to children of all genders aged 1 to 16 years. Those who join the study can expect to work with a team of different specialists who will assess their eye health and overall well-being. This research is being conducted at the Universitary Hospital Meyer Institute in Italy, which specializes in caring for children with this condition. By participating, families can help improve understanding and treatment options for future patients with non-infectious chronic uveitis.
