ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how nutrition education can improve eating habits and knowledge about healthy eating among high school students. The research involves 2,000 students from six different high schools, with half participating in special nutrition programs and the other half not receiving any intervention. At the start of the study, researchers will collect information about the students’ backgrounds, eating habits, body image, and overall nutrition knowledge. Throughout the study, students in the intervention group will take part in eight sessions designed to teach them about nutrition. At the end of the study, all students will be reassessed to see if the nutrition education made a difference.

To participate, students must be in 9th or 10th grade and agree to be part of the research. However, those with specific medical conditions, like diabetes or certain metabolic disorders, or those who need a special diet, will not be eligible. This trial is a great opportunity for students to learn more about healthy eating and improve their overall nutrition.
