ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two methods—emotional freedom technique (a type of tapping therapy) and listening to music—can help reduce pain and anxiety during the insertion of an intrauterine device (IUD). The goal is to see if these non-drug approaches can make the experience more comfortable for women. The study is currently recruiting participants who are women aged 18 to 49, and they must be willing to take part in the research.
To join the trial, participants should not have any communication issues, psychiatric disorders, or certain medical conditions, and they shouldn't have had an IUD inserted before. Those who participate can expect to experience either the tapping technique or music during their IUD insertion, with the hope that it will help lessen their discomfort. This trial could be important for finding new ways to support women during this common procedure.
