ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Adapting Lifestyle Offloading for DFUs," is focused on helping people with diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) improve their care through a personalized approach. The study will test a program led by occupational therapists that aims to help participants manage their foot ulcers better by focusing on lifestyle changes. The main goal is to see how acceptable and practical this tailored approach is for those dealing with this condition.
To participate, you need to be at least 21 years old, speak English, and have a current diabetic foot ulcer that requires offloading, which means taking pressure off the affected area. You should also be able to walk independently or with a device and have access to telehealth services, like the internet. Unfortunately, those who are deaf or blind, or who have had significant amputations below the knee, will not be eligible. If you decide to join, you'll receive support to help you manage your foot ulcer and improve your overall health and well-being. This trial is not recruiting participants yet, but it represents an important step in finding better ways to care for diabetic foot ulcers.
