ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Families Filming Infants Learning Movement," is focused on improving how doctors can spot early signs of movement problems in infants, particularly those at risk for cerebral palsy (CP). The goal is to determine the best time to assess an infant's movement skills to predict their development by the time they reach two years old. The study aims to enroll a total of 350 infants, including 100 healthy infants and 250 infants identified as at risk for CP.
To participate, infants should be full-term (born after 37 weeks) and typically developing, or they may have certain medical conditions like a history of lung problems due to being born early, or other specific diagnoses like Trisomy 21. Parents will be asked to film their baby's movements, which will help researchers analyze their development. It's important to note that participants need to have access to a smartphone for filming. If you're interested in helping advance our understanding of infant development and potentially improving early detection of movement issues, this study might be a great fit!
