ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how physical therapy can help patients who have undergone a specific type of stem cell transplant and are dealing with a condition called chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD). cGVHD can cause various health challenges and affect the quality of life for these patients. The goal of the study is to see if adding physical therapy, which includes exercises to improve muscle strength and endurance, can make a positive difference in their health and well-being.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) who has received an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant and has been diagnosed with cGVHD. You should not have any serious health issues that would prevent you from exercising, and you need to be comfortable using the internet and speak Spanish. Participants will be asked to engage in physical therapy sessions and will undergo assessments at the beginning and end of the trial to evaluate their progress. This study aims to fill a gap in research regarding the benefits of physical therapy for patients with cGVHD, and it could help improve care for others in the future.
