ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying ways to improve the mental health and resilience of children with cystic fibrosis (CF) and their mothers. Cystic fibrosis is a serious condition that affects the lungs and can cause both physical and emotional challenges. The trial will involve children aged 8 to 12 who have CF, as well as their mothers. Participants will take part in an intervention program that includes activities like laughter therapy, designed to boost their psychological well-being. The study aims to see how effective this program is by comparing those who participate with those who do not.
To be eligible for the trial, children must be between 8 and 12 years old, have a certain level of lung function, and be able to communicate in Turkish. Mothers must have a child in that age range with a CF diagnosis. Participants can expect to share their experiences through drawings and interviews, and their mental health will be measured before and after the program. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a supportive environment for families dealing with the challenges of cystic fibrosis.
