ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the effectiveness of combining platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment with topical retinoids for people suffering from acne vulgaris, which is a common skin condition that can cause pimples and scarring, particularly in teenagers and young adults. The researchers want to see if adding PRP, which contains healing factors from your own blood, helps improve the results of the topical retinoids, which are already used to help clear acne and reduce inflammation.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 12 and 35 years old and have facial acne vulgaris. Unfortunately, pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with certain health issues, or those who have recently received other acne treatments may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you'll receive either the combination of PRP and topical retinoids or topical retinoids alone, and the goal is to find out which treatment works better for managing acne. This study is currently recruiting participants, so it’s a great opportunity to help advance acne treatment options!
