ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how the working positions and movements of dental students during root canal treatments (endodontics) may lead to muscle fatigue and discomfort. The study focuses on first and second-year students at the European University of Madrid who are learning advanced techniques in endodontics. Researchers want to understand how these students feel about any pain or discomfort they experience while working, and they will use a questionnaire and video recordings to gather this information. The goal is to identify any patterns in posture or muscle strain that might contribute to common pain problems faced by dentists.
To participate in the trial, students must be enrolled in the Master’s program in Endodontics at the university and have completed two years of clinical practice. However, those who have previously been diagnosed with musculoskeletal disorders, suffered relevant injuries, or are pregnant in their third trimester are not eligible to join. Participants will be recorded while performing procedures, and their responses to the questionnaire will help researchers understand how working conditions affect them. This study aims to improve the health and well-being of future dentists.
