ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different types of exercise can affect pain sensitivity in healthy people. Specifically, the researchers want to see whether exercising the upper body or lower body has different effects on how much pressure a person can handle before it becomes painful. Participants will be divided into three groups: one group will use a stationary bike for their legs, another group will use a bike for their arms, and there will be a control group that does not exercise. Each exercise session will last 30 minutes, and the researchers will measure pain thresholds in the thigh and elbow to see how the different exercises impact pain sensitivity.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 18 and 64 years old and must be healthy, meaning they should not have any serious health issues like heart or lung problems, or any history of frequent pain. Participants will not be allowed to take any medications or be pregnant during the trial. If you are eligible and decide to join, you can expect a structured exercise session and to help researchers understand how exercise affects pain sensitivity in different parts of the body. This research could provide valuable insights into how physical activity can influence pain management.
