ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the tiny blood vessels (microcirculation) and a special protective layer around cells (glycocalyx) in the body behave during major abdominal surgeries. By monitoring these factors, the doctors hope to improve how they manage anesthesia and fluid replacement for patients undergoing surgeries like HIPEC (a treatment for certain cancers) and CDP (for pancreatic tumors). This approach aims to provide a more precise and personalized care experience.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be adults under 75 years old who are having one of the specific surgeries mentioned. They should also be well-informed about the study and agree to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your microcirculation closely monitored during your surgery, which may help improve your care. However, some patients with serious health issues, like advanced heart or kidney problems, won't be able to participate. It's important to discuss this opportunity with your healthcare team to see if it’s right for you.
