ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how certain behaviors and thoughts might affect the way people with chronic lower back pain use opioids (pain medications) and how much pain they experience. The researchers want to find out if things like impulsivity (acting quickly without thinking), self-control, and how people think about pain could help predict who might misuse opioids or have more disability due to pain. The study will involve surveys and tests to gather information from participants, and it aims to identify patterns that could help improve pain management and prevent misuse of medications.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis related to chronic lower back pain. However, if you have cancer pain, you won’t be eligible. Participants can expect to answer questions and take part in some tests, and their privacy will be protected through special measures. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it welcomes individuals of all genders. Your involvement could contribute to important insights that may help others in similar situations.
