ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment for people with blood clots in the veins of the pelvis or legs, known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The goal is to see how well a procedure called mechanical thrombectomy works in removing these clots, specifically in adults who have been diagnosed with this condition through a CT scan. The trial will look at real-life experiences in a specific hospital setting to understand how effective and safe this treatment can be.
To join the study, participants must be adults who are admitted to the vascular surgery unit with specific types of DVT. However, some people may not be eligible, such as those who have had certain treatments for blood clots very recently, are currently bleeding, or cannot give consent to participate. Those who take part in the trial can expect to receive care according to standard medical practices, and the findings could help improve treatments for DVT in the future.
