Strength Training Exercise Quality Of Life Randomized Controlled Trial

ClinConnect Summary

The LIFTING 2 trial is a clinical study designed to explore the effects of heavy strength training on survivors of head and neck cancer. Many people who have had this type of cancer experience ongoing challenges, such as weakness, fatigue, and difficulty swallowing, which can impact their daily lives and overall happiness. This trial aims to see if a more intense strength training program can help improve these issues compared to no exercise at all.

To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have completed their cancer treatment at least a year ago. They should also be cleared for exercise by their doctor and meet certain physical requirements. Participants will engage in a structured strength training program and can expect to receive support and guidance throughout the process. This trial is open to all genders and aims to help improve the quality of life for head and neck cancer survivors. If you or someone you know is interested, it's a great opportunity to contribute to important research while potentially benefiting from the exercise program.
