ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how certain exercises can help improve physical abilities in people who smoke, have respiratory diseases, or lead inactive lifestyles. The researchers want to see if strengthening exercises and breathing exercises can make a positive difference in how well individuals can perform daily activities.

To participate in this study, you need to be between 65 and 74 years old, have been smoking at least one cigarette a day for the last six months, and have a low to medium level of physical activity. You also need to be able to commit to attending exercise sessions regularly. If you have any serious bone or nerve issues that could prevent you from exercising, or if you’ve had a lung infection in the last three months, you won’t be eligible.
