ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying acute intoxications in children, which occur when kids accidentally come into contact with harmful substances. The goal is to understand how often these incidents happen and what social and healthcare factors may contribute to them. By gathering this information, researchers hope to improve the way we diagnose and treat these situations in the future. The study is being conducted at several hospitals and poison control centers across the country.
To participate in the study, children aged between 1 month and 16 years who experience an acute intoxication can be included. This means if a child has been exposed to a toxic substance or has ingested something harmful, they may be eligible to take part. Parents or guardians will be asked to give their permission for their child to join the study. Participants will help researchers understand more about these incidents, which can ultimately lead to better care and prevention strategies for children at risk of poisoning.
