ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different ways of providing mobile healthcare education can help cancer patients take better care of their skin while receiving a specific cancer treatment. Patients who have a certain gene mutation and are on EGFR-based medications often experience skin-related side effects. In this study, participants will be randomly split into two groups. One group will learn about skin care through a fun game on their phones, while the other group will read about it in a text format. Both groups will use an app for two weeks and answer questionnaires at the start, halfway through, and again after a month to see which method is more effective.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults over 18 years old, currently receiving EGFR-based cancer treatment, and able to use a smartphone. Those with vision or hearing impairments, or who cannot understand the study in Mandarin or Taiwanese, will not be included. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to find out not only which method improves skin care skills better but also which one motivates patients more to learn about self-care.
