ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different ways of monitoring blood sugar levels can help women with gestational diabetes who have previously had gastric bypass surgery. The main focus is to see how continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) might improve treatment and pregnancy outcomes compared to regular blood sugar checks during the last trimester of pregnancy. Participants will be randomly assigned to either use CGM or stick to the traditional blood tests.
To be eligible for this study, women need to speak and understand Swedish, have a history of gastric bypass surgery, and be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. They should also be planning to receive care at the Specialized Maternity Ward at Skane University Hospital and be willing to use the CGM system. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your blood sugar monitored in either of the two ways mentioned, and researchers will compare the results to find out which method works better. This study is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement can help improve care for future mothers facing similar challenges.
