ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Digital Toolkit for Skin Diseases in LMICs: Part 2," is looking at how a digital tool called eSkinHealth can help healthcare providers in Cote d'Ivoire detect and treat skin diseases more effectively. The goal is to see if using this app can improve diagnosis and treatment for specific skin conditions, including Buruli ulcer, leprosy, and yaws, which are known as neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). The study is currently recruiting participants and is open to healthcare workers and patients aged 18 and older.
To be eligible, healthcare providers must work at primary health centers or clinics in Cote d'Ivoire, speak and read French, and be willing to use a tablet with the eSkinHealth app if chosen for the study group. Patients eligible for the trial should have been diagnosed with a skin NTD or another relevant skin condition. Participants can expect to contribute to a 12-month study that aims to improve health outcomes in their community. This trial is important because it can help enhance the way skin diseases are managed, especially in areas that may have limited resources.
