ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of strength training combined with mirror therapy on patients who have had a stroke. The goal is to see how these therapies can help improve movement and daily activities for the side of the body that is affected by the stroke, as well as enhance balance and walking patterns. In the trial, 44 participants will be split into two groups. One group will receive regular rehabilitation and strength training, while the other group will receive strength training plus mirror therapy, where they practice movements in front of a mirror to help improve coordination.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be females aged between 17 and 24 years who have regular menstrual cycles and are unmarried. They cannot be athletes, married women, or those who regularly exercise. Each participant will engage in training sessions for 30 minutes, three times a week over eight weeks, with breaks allowed. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but once it begins, it aims to gather important information about how these therapies can aid recovery after a stroke.
