ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how mindfulness practice can help women manage pain and anxiety related to dysmenorrhea, which is the medical term for painful menstrual periods. The researchers want to see if practicing mindfulness techniques can improve the way women cope with their pain and anxiety during their menstrual cycles. The study will involve 100 female university students who experience dysmenorrhea. To participate, you need to be over 18, literate, and willing to commit to an 8-week mindfulness program. You won't be able to use any other pain management methods during this time.

Participants will start by completing some questionnaires to assess their pain and anxiety levels. After completing the 8-week mindfulness program, which includes weekly sessions and personal practice at home, participants will take follow-up tests to see if their pain and anxiety have improved. This study is a great opportunity for women struggling with menstrual pain to explore a non-drug approach to managing their symptoms while being supported by researchers and other participants.
