ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how pelvic floor exercises can improve vaginal and sexual health in postmenopausal women, who often experience issues like vaginal dryness, burning, and pain during sex. These symptoms can affect a woman's sexual function and overall quality of life. In the study, participants will be divided into two groups: one group will perform pelvic floor exercises, while the other group will not receive any intervention. Both groups will have their vaginal health evaluated at the start and again after 12 weeks to see if the exercises made a difference.
To be eligible for this study, women need to be aged between 29 and 74, have not had a period for at least 12 months, and be sexually active. They also need to be able to read and understand information about the study. However, women with certain conditions, such as active vaginal infections or a history of certain cancers, will not be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to complete some questionnaires and tests to assess your vaginal health before and after the 12-week period. This research aims to provide valuable insights into how simple exercises can help with common postmenopausal symptoms.
