ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on helping secondary school students improve their overall wellbeing using a mobile app and a wearable device. The app is designed to support students in managing stress, improving their sleep, and organizing their time better. It will also provide helpful educational resources and coaching through messages. The wearable device, which students will wear on their wrist, will track their heart rate to help them understand their stress levels. Throughout the study, students will fill out surveys every two months about their sleep, stress, and wellbeing. The app's features will be introduced gradually over a year to see how each part helps students.

To join the study, students must be entering their fifth year of secondary school at one of the participating schools and have permission from a parent or guardian. They also need to have a smartphone. The students who participate will have access to the app and device, while a control group from the same classes will not use them but will still provide feedback through surveys. Coaches will be available to answer questions related to goal-setting and wellbeing, but it’s important to note that this is not a therapy service. The findings from this study will help us understand if this app and device can effectively support students as they prepare for their important exams.
