ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying muscle strength, which is an important sign of overall health, especially for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The goal is to create specific guidelines that will help healthcare providers measure muscle strength accurately for both healthy individuals and patients in critical care in Brazil. By understanding these differences in muscle strength, doctors hope to improve care and outcomes for ICU patients.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 18 and 90 years old, whether you are a healthy individual or a patient in the ICU. However, certain conditions may exclude you, such as recent muscle injuries, severe bone diseases, or infections. If you join the study, you can expect to have your muscle strength tested using a special device called a dynamometer, which is safe and easy to use. Your participation could help in developing better ways to assess and treat muscle strength in patients who are critically ill.
