ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different methods used in periodontal surgery, which is a treatment for gum disease. One method is called open flap debridement (OFD), and the other combines OFD with a special material known as leukocyte and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF). The researchers want to see which method leads to better healing and less pain for patients after the surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 89 years old and have gum disease that requires surgery on one or more teeth in the same area of your mouth. It's important that you do not smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your surgery and then be monitored for your recovery and any pain you experience afterward. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it welcomes people of all genders. If you have any questions or think you might be eligible, it could be a good idea to talk to your dentist or healthcare provider for more information.
