ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the use of online gut-directed hypnotherapy as a treatment for adults suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), particularly those whose symptoms have not improved with standard medical treatments. Participants will join group sessions led by a nurse, where they will learn techniques to help manage their gastrointestinal symptoms, such as abdominal pain and discomfort. The main goal of the study is to see if this approach can significantly reduce the severity of IBS symptoms.
To join the trial, you need to have a diagnosis of IBS. However, individuals with other gastrointestinal diseases will not be able to participate. If you are between the ages of 18 and 65 and are interested in trying a new method to help with your IBS symptoms, this study might be a good fit for you. Participants can expect to attend sessions online, making it convenient and accessible. This trial is currently recruiting, so it's a great opportunity to explore a potentially helpful treatment option.
