ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a treatment called Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) can help improve wound healing in women who are at a higher risk of complications after having an abdominal hysterectomy, which is a surgery to remove the uterus. The goal is to see if using PRP can make a difference in how well and how quickly these patients heal after their surgery.
To be eligible for this trial, women must be over 18 years old and scheduled to have an abdominal hysterectomy. They should also have certain risk factors that can make healing more difficult, such as being overweight, having diabetes, taking steroid medications, or smoking. However, women with severe low blood counts, coagulation disorders, or certain cancers cannot participate. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but if you or someone you know might be interested, it's a chance to help researchers learn more about improving healing after surgery.
