ClinConnect Summary
The BRAIN App clinical trial is studying a new digital tool designed to help improve the lives of people living with dementia, including Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. This innovative app uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create personalized activities that encourage communication and engagement, which can enhance the quality of life for both the person with dementia and their caregivers. The trial aims to see how well the BRAIN App can help reduce challenging behaviors associated with dementia and strengthen the relationships among the individual, their caregivers, and family members.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be 65 years or older, have a clinical diagnosis of dementia, and be able to speak conversational English. However, those who cannot communicate verbally or have serious vision or hearing impairments are not eligible. Participants will be asked to use the app, and researchers will assess how it affects their engagement, quality of life, and the ease of use for everyone involved. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how technology can support dementia care.
