ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a personalized approach can improve satisfaction for patients who are undergoing knee replacement surgery, known as total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The researchers want to see if using a special tool to predict individual patient outcomes and providing targeted support for those with mental health challenges or physical difficulties can lead to better satisfaction one year after the surgery, compared to the standard care that most patients currently receive.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be adults between the ages of 18 and 80 who are scheduled for a single knee replacement and can speak English. They need to be willing to sign a consent form and commit to follow-up appointments. However, those who require surgery on both knees at the same time, have a history of joint infections, or are dealing with certain types of arthritis will not be included. If you join this study, you can expect personalized care aimed at improving your experience and satisfaction with the surgery over the next year.
