ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new type of training called biofeedback gait training, designed to help people recover their walking abilities after having a stroke. The focus is on improving specific movement patterns of the legs and body during walking. Participants will take part in 8 to 11 training sessions, where they will receive feedback about their walking to help them improve. Before and after the training, researchers will assess how well participants walk compared to healthy adults to see if there are any improvements.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be under 75 years old and have experienced an ischemic stroke, which is caused by a blockage in the blood supply to the brain. They should be able to walk independently for at least 5 minutes and not have any major issues affecting their thinking or movement. It's important to note that individuals with worsening neurological conditions or those who wish to leave the study will not be able to continue. Overall, this trial aims to help enhance walking abilities in stroke survivors by using targeted training techniques.
