ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new artificial intelligence system called the AI-CAC model, which helps detect early signs of a condition known as atherosclerosis using a standard chest X-ray. Atherosclerosis is a problem where the arteries can become narrowed or blocked, leading to heart issues. The goal of the study is to see how well this AI system works in identifying people who may need further testing for coronary artery calcification (CAC), which is a buildup of calcium in the arteries that can indicate heart disease.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 40 and 75 years old and have a recommendation from your doctor for a chest CT scan to check your CAC score. Unfortunately, if you have had any major heart issues in the past, certain types of cancer, or other serious chronic diseases, you won't be eligible. If you join the study, you'll undergo a chest CT scan, and the researchers will evaluate how accurately the AI system can find signs of atherosclerosis in your results. It's an important step toward improving heart disease prevention and detection.
