ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well people with cochlear implants can understand speech over a long period of time. Specifically, it focuses on those who use a special type of cochlear implant called electro-acoustic stimulation, which works together with an acoustic earhook system. The study aims to gather information from past patients to see how effective this technology has been in helping them hear and communicate.
If you or a loved one has received a HiRes Ultra or HiRes Ultra 3D SlimJ cochlear implant and uses the acoustic earhook system, you may be eligible to participate. There are no specific exclusion criteria, so many people can join the study. Participants will be asked to provide consent for their data to be used in the research, and they will help researchers learn more about the long-term benefits of this hearing technology. Overall, this study aims to improve understanding of how cochlear implants can support speech perception in individuals with hearing loss.
