ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of a method called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) on stress, anxiety, and depression in university students who experienced earthquakes. After the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık, many students reported ongoing emotional problems, and this study aims to see if EFT can help them feel better. EFT is a short and easy-to-learn technique that combines talk therapy with tapping on specific points on the body, similar to acupuncture but without needles. The researchers want to find out if this online therapy can improve the mental health of students who are struggling after the trauma of the earthquakes.

To be eligible for the study, participants must be university students aged 18 or older, have been in the earthquake area, and have a higher score on a depression test (17 or above). Those who can join will be divided into two groups: one will receive EFT sessions, while the other will simply be monitored without therapy. At the start and end of the study, both groups will complete questionnaires about their mental health. The goal is to see if EFT can effectively reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression, helping students continue their education without significant disruption.
