ClinConnect Summary
The SAINTS Program is a clinical trial designed to improve safety for both healthcare workers and patients in rural hospitals in Oregon. The goal of this program is to find better ways to prevent accidental falls and injuries by training peer leaders among hospital staff. These leaders will learn strategies to enhance the hospital environment and promote safety through teamwork and continuous improvement.
To participate in this trial, you must work at one of the participating rural hospitals in Oregon and be involved in patient care, such as being a registered nurse (RN) or a certified nursing assistant (CNA). Unfortunately, non-clinical staff like clerical workers or janitorial staff are not eligible. If you join, you can expect to be part of regular meetings and training sessions aimed at making the hospital safer for everyone. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to make a meaningful impact on health and safety in these communities.
