ClinConnect Summary
The "Braining" clinical trial is researching how physical exercise can help people with psychiatric disorders. Specifically, it looks at the immediate effects of special exercise sessions designed to support mental health. Participants will take part in group training led by professionals and have regular contact with psychiatric staff. They will complete some evaluations before and after the training to see how it impacts their well-being.
To join the study, you need to be between 65 and 74 years old and have previously participated in a related study about exercise and mental health. It's important to note that individuals with severe psychiatric conditions, like mania or psychosis, or those with serious heart or lung problems that make exercise unsafe, cannot participate. Additionally, participants should be able to understand Swedish, as the sessions and evaluations will be conducted in that language. This trial is not currently recruiting participants, but it aims to explore how a series of exercise classes can benefit mental health in the short term.
