ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how obesity affects the structure of fat tissue in the body, specifically focusing on something called the extracellular matrix, which is like a supportive framework that helps cells in fat tissue. The study includes three groups of healthy and obese men: young men aged 18 to 35, older men aged 60 to 75, and obese young men. Researchers want to find out if there are differences in the fat tissue structure between these groups.
To participate, men must be healthy and meet specific age and weight criteria, such as having a body mass index (BMI) in the normal range or being classified as obese. Participants can expect to take part in a straightforward study where their fat tissue will be analyzed to help researchers understand how age and obesity impact its composition. It's important to note that men with certain health conditions or those taking specific medications may not qualify for the study.
