ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding new treatments for obesity using special procedures that involve a thin, flexible tube called an endoscope. This tube is inserted through the mouth to reach the stomach and small intestine, allowing doctors to perform various treatments that can help with weight loss. The trial aims to collect information on how safe and effective these endoscopic procedures are in real-life situations across the UK. By gathering this data, researchers hope to improve doctors' knowledge and increase access to these treatments for patients struggling with obesity and its related health problems, like type 2 diabetes.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and undergoing an endoscopic procedure for weight loss. You also need to be able to provide written consent to join the study. Unfortunately, procedures done outside the UK or those not included in the trial’s guidelines won’t qualify. If you decide to participate, you will be contributing to important research that may help many others facing similar challenges with obesity in the future.
