ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different types of knee replacement surgeries to find out which one helps patients recover better after surgery. Specifically, it's comparing partial knee replacement (where only part of the knee is replaced) with total knee replacement (where the entire knee joint is replaced). The researchers will look at the patients' recovery by using a questionnaire that measures how well they can function after their surgery, focusing on their progress one month after the operation.

To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults aged 40 to 85 who have a specific type of knee disease called medial gonarthrosis, which causes pain and stiffness in the knee. They should also have certain symptoms related to their knee condition. Participants will be divided into two groups, with one group receiving partial knee replacement and the other receiving total knee replacement. Throughout the study, participants will be asked to fill out forms about their recovery and any changes they notice in their knee function. It's important to note that some individuals, such as those with certain health issues or those outside the age range, will not be eligible to participate.
