ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the best ways to teach women how to properly contract their pelvic floor muscles. This is important for women who have not received any previous training for pelvic floor muscle weakness. In the study, women visiting a gynecology and obstetrics clinic who volunteer to participate will be randomly assigned to one of three groups. Each group will learn to contract their pelvic floor muscles using different teaching methods: one through verbal explanations, another through a hands-on technique, and the third with a special device that measures muscle contractions. The effectiveness of each method will be evaluated before and after the training.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be women aged between 18 and 65 who are willing to join, have the ability to contract their pelvic floor muscles, and have not previously received any pelvic floor muscle training. They should also pass a simple mental test and be free from certain health conditions, such as pregnancy or severe pelvic organ prolapse. Through this trial, researchers hope to identify the most effective teaching method, which will help healthcare providers better assist women with pelvic floor muscle issues in the future.
