ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different methods to help children breathe better during laparoscopic abdominal surgery, which is a type of minimally invasive surgery. The researchers want to see if using an ultrasound-guided technique called Recruitment Maneuver (RM) is more effective than a personalized breathing support called Positive End-Expiratory Pressure (PEEP) in improving oxygen levels and preventing breathing problems in young patients.
To participate in this study, children must be between 3 and 8 years old and scheduled for elective laparoscopic surgery. They should be generally healthy, without serious lung conditions or other significant health issues. Parents can expect their child to receive either the ultrasound-guided approach or the individualized breathing support during surgery, and the study aims to find out which method works better. This research is important as it could help improve the safety and comfort of children undergoing surgery in the future.
