ClinConnect Summary
The UNC Metastatic Cancer Radiation Therapy Registry is a study aimed at better understanding how radiation therapy affects patients with metastatic cancer, which is cancer that has spread from its original location to other parts of the body. This registry collects important health information from patients at UNC Hospitals who are receiving radiation therapy as a standard part of their cancer treatment. By linking this clinical data with feedback from patients about their experiences and health outcomes, researchers hope to create a valuable resource for future studies on the effectiveness of radiation therapy in treating metastatic cancer.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have metastatic cancer, and be scheduled to receive radiation therapy as part of their treatment plan. Participants will need to provide written consent and agree to share their health information. It’s important for potential participants to be in good enough health to understand and sign the consent forms. This study is currently looking for volunteers, and being part of it can help contribute to new insights that could improve cancer treatment in the future.
