ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special type of care called Person-Centred Care (PCC) can help patients with Graves' disease, a common condition that causes an overactive thyroid. Many people with Graves' disease experience mental fatigue even after their thyroid levels have returned to normal, and this can affect their daily lives and work. The researchers believe that by involving patients more in their own care and helping them develop positive coping strategies, PCC can improve their mental fatigue, reduce the number of days they need to take off work, and lower the chances of their Graves' disease coming back.
To take part in this study, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and have been diagnosed with Graves' disease for the first time. You should have specific thyroid hormone levels and antibodies in your blood. If you join, you'll receive either the PCC care along with standard treatment or just the standard treatment alone. The study aims to see how well this new approach works and whether it is cost-effective. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it hopes to improve the quality of life for those living with Graves' disease and potentially help others with similar conditions in the future.
