ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how to improve oral health care for older adults living at home. The study will compare two different ways of planning and delivering dental care using a shared digital tool. The goal is to see if working together as a team—dental hygienists and nursing assistants—can lead to better oral health outcomes for older patients. By including older adults in the decision-making process, the trial aims to create a more personalized approach to their care.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 65 years old and enrolled in both the Swedish dental care program and municipal care services. If you qualify, you will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will receive special training on a new oral health model, while the other group will continue with the usual care. Throughout the trial, your oral health will be monitored, and your experiences will be gathered through interviews. This study hopes to make a difference in how dental care is provided to older adults, ultimately supporting healthier aging.
