ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Dairy Products to Your Gut and Brain," is looking to see how different types of dairy—specifically fermented (like yogurt) and non-fermented (like regular milk)—affect bowel movements and brain function in healthy women who have bowel movements every other day or less. The researchers want to understand how our gut health might influence our brain health. They will also include a smaller study to compare women who have daily bowel movements with those who have fewer, to see how their gut and brain functions differ.
To join this study, participants must be healthy women aged between 16 and 40 who can commit to eating 300 grams of dairy each day and have bowel movements every second day or less. They should also have a smartphone and be comfortable understanding either Danish or English. It’s important to note that women who are pregnant, have certain medical conditions or take specific medications may not be eligible. Participants can expect to learn more about their gut and brain health while contributing to important research that could help others in the future.
