Ercp Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Gallstones

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying whether having a laparoscopic cholecystectomy (a minimally invasive surgery to remove the gallbladder) soon after an ERCP (a procedure to remove gallstones from the bile duct) can lower the risk of complications in patients with gallstones. The researchers want to see if performing the surgery early can help patients recover better and avoid problems that can arise later.

To participate in this trial, you need to be between the ages of 15 and 70 and have had an ERCP because of gallstones. However, there are certain conditions that would exclude you, such as having severe liver disease or certain other health issues that make surgery unsafe. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive the laparoscopic surgery soon after your ERCP, and the team will monitor your recovery closely. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know is dealing with gallstones, it might be worth considering.
