ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different factors before, during, and after liver transplant surgery affect the chances of survival for patients and the success of the transplanted liver. Liver transplants are often necessary for people with severe liver disease, but managing patients through the entire process can be challenging for medical teams. Understanding which clinical and laboratory factors impact recovery can help improve treatments and outcomes for patients undergoing this surgery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be adults who are scheduled for elective liver transplant surgery and classified as having a low to moderate risk according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) system. This means they should be generally healthy or have mild to moderate health issues. Unfortunately, those with more serious health problems (ASA classifications IV or V) won't be able to participate. If you or a loved one qualify and choose to join, you will be monitored closely during the surgery and recovery to gather important information that could help future patients.
