ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a home-based respiratory training program can help improve swallowing abilities in patients who have had a stroke. The goal is to see if using special breathing devices at home, along with standard treatment, can make a difference for those with ongoing swallowing difficulties after a stroke. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive the respiratory training and standard treatment, while the other will only get the standard treatment.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have a clinical diagnosis of stroke. However, people with certain conditions, such as severe breathing problems, recent major surgeries, or cognitive issues that make it hard to follow instructions, will not be able to join. If someone chooses to participate, they can expect to engage in training at home and will be monitored to see how their swallowing function improves over time. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into helping stroke survivors regain their swallowing abilities.
